Member of South East England Senate Council, KSS Academic Health Science Network Improvement Board and KSS Lead for Acute Heart Failure.
Past Guideline Group member (Heart failure, STEMI, Safe Staffing); Peer Reviewer (Acute Heart Failure); Chair of the NICE Heart Failure Quality Standards Group (2010-12) and current Standing Chair of the NICE Quality Standards Advisory Committee (2012-). Expert Adviser to NICE multi-morbidity Project Group; Social Value Judgement Steering Group; and Department of Health Heart Failure Tariff and NICOR heart failure PROMS working groups. International Journal Editorial Board member and reviewer with over 100 publications.
Experience in clinical care, evidence and guidance, and quality improvement has led me to believe that a deeper societal and clinical understanding of value and accountability is necessary if healthcare systems are to remain sustainable.
