‘Whose Belief Is It Anyway? Children, Their Body’s and the Beliefs That Influence Parental Decision-Making in Healthcare’
Ed is a lecturer in perioperative studies at Edge Hill University, with a particular interest in legal and ethical issues in healthcare practice, as such he teaches law and ethics across the faculty at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Ed qualified as a registered nurse from Kings College London, training at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals, spending his clinical career in perioperative care in hospitals across Cheshire and Merseyside. Whilst working, Ed obtained a first class law degree from John Moores University and is currently in the final months of completing an LLM in Healthcare Law and Ethics at the University of Manchester, his particular interest is within the ethical and legal issues that affect children and young people in making decisions. Ed is also finishing a PGCert in Teaching in Higher Education, at Edge Hill University.
