Andrea Capstick is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for the MSc Dementia Studies at the University of Bradford. Her doctoral research focused on the use of film and narrative biography in practitioner education. More recently, with funding from the National Institute for Health Research (School for Social Care), she has carried out research on the use of participatory methods with people with dementia in long-term care. She has published on the ethics of visual representation of people with dementia in research, film, and media, and has experience of both sitting on a research ethics committee and being an applicant for ethics approval.
